About us
13 years coaching El Dorado Hills
Veteran-owned, in the same Business Park since 2013, and still the highest-rated gym in town. Here's who we are and why people stay.
A gym that stuck around
Most fitness businesses in El Dorado Hills don't make it to their third birthday. We opened in 2013 and we're still here, same town, same standard, coaching the same community through every fitness trend that came and went. Thirteen years isn't a slogan; it's the simplest proof that what we do works and that people stay once they start.
In that time we've coached thousands of people and grown into the highest-rated gym in El Dorado Hills: 5.0 stars across 68 Google reviews, with 150+ active members who range from people stepping into a gym for the first time to former athletes who needed a real challenge again. We're not the biggest box in the region and we're not trying to be. We're the one where a coach knows your name.
Veteran-owned, and it shows
EDHFIT is veteran-owned. Owner Jeff Prescott built it on the things the military gets right, standards, accountability, and nobody left behind, and deliberately left behind the things it gets wrong. There's no yelling here, no tactical cosplay, no breaking people down to look tough. Just a gym that does what it says it will: shows up, coaches you well, and holds the standard.
Jeff started EDHFIT in 2013 for a simple reason: he loved what CrossFit did for him, physically and mentally, and he loved the community and friendships that came with it. He built this gym to give El Dorado Hills the same thing, real coaching, real results, and a room full of people who have your back.
That ethos is its own page if you want the deeper version, read about our veteran-owned approach to coaching.
What we actually do
We coach people toward real results, in whatever lane fits them. That's coached CrossFit classes for most members, framed as approachable small-group fitness for people who'd never call themselves "CrossFitters." It's also one-on-one personal training, nutrition coaching, and the EDH Burn program for runners and rowers, plus 24-hour access so members can train on their own schedule.
How we coach
Every member starts with a coach who learns your goals, your history, and what you're working around, then scales each workout so it challenges you without breaking you. No card-swipe anonymity, no pressing play on a screen for a room of thirty. The coaching is the product, and it's why members keep coming back. Meet the team on our coaches page, or see what it's done for real people on our member results page.
